FREEdge Shopping!
FREEdge shopping is one of my favorite things! As a lifelong couponer – Thanks MOM 😍 – passing up a bargain is something I just can’t do. So I’ve long made it a practice to grab free coupon deals and give them away! Tune in here freequently for yummies you can get out there for free. Keep it for yourself or give it away!
The number one staple in my FREEquent couponing adventures is ibotta. If you haven’t ever used it and you love deals OMG you need to get it right now! Please use the link (or referral code HIHAQW) if you’re new because I’ll get $10 when you redeem your first deal and you’ll get $5! Then we can use that money for more FREE food 🥳. Ibotta is a legit cash back app that works by submitting receipts for items you’ve purchased at many of the stores you already shop at. Once the robots verify your receipt and the items you’ve purchased you get cash back in the app, simple as that. Now the best part – you don’t have to redeem for hard to use gift cards (but you can) – you can link right to your bank account and transfer the money easy as that! So stick with me and I’ll have you sailing past that $20 minimum in no time!
Proof:
Jen Current earnings: $65.67 Lifetime earnings $2,391.38
Now that's some real bread! Mind you I’ve been using ibotta since 2013 and there are definitely times when I get VERY MONOTROPIC 🤔 and I also go long stretches not using it at all. But whenever I’m into it it’s WORTH it!
So let me take you on your first FREE food adventure!
Today we’ll be adventuring to Natural Grocers (conveniently located right across the street from Tucson FREEdge!) Before you go you’ll need to have your {N}power account all set up – this is NatGro’s free loyalty program that gives shopping rewards, coupons and special deals just for YOU. If you’ve not joined yet, cha-ching! You get your first $2 of this adventure for signing up! You don’t need to download the app for this trip but it does have special coupons in general so if you have space on your phone just go for it.
OK! Now back to ibotta! Now you have to go into the app and open up the deals for Natural Grocers. All you do is check off the deals you think you’re going to buy! And for “any item” deals you usually have to watch a short ad, so click click away. I like to click on anything I think I might even remotely buy because you just never know when you’ll stumble across a bargain! And there’s no harm in clicking on deals you never buy so why not.
For this trip I’m going to have you redeem: $4.99 Daiya Dairy-Free Deluxe Mac N Cheese, $4.29 Daiya Dairy-Free Dry Mix Mac N Cheese, $5.99 Stone & Skillet English Muffins, $8.50 Manitoba Harvest Fiber, Oil or Hemp Hearts, $1.00 back GT’s Synergy Kombucha & $.20 Any Receipt. URGENT SIDEBAR: The amounts I have in my deals will differ somewhat from what you have in your deals. This is because you usually get more enticing and delightful deals when you’re new or when you’ve been away for a while but we’ll just go with what I got and run with it, ok?

OK we’re cooking now!! Now it’s time to head to the store! Here’s your list:
2 Synergy Kombuchas – personally I like the Trilogy flavor the best $3.79ea
1 Daiya Mac N Cheese Dry Mix - I got white cheddar! $3.89
1 Daiya Deluxe Mac N Cheese - I got alfredo! $5.15
2 Stone Skillet English Muffins - I got original! On Sale for $3.89
1 Manitoba Harvest Hemp Seed Oil $10.99
1 Contented Hen Free Range Eggs 1 per customer! $1.99
Now for a little jen’s secret sauce… I love NatGro especially because the fairies sprinkle manufacturer coupons all around the store which you can STACK with ibotta!
I found these $2 off ANY Daiya item in the frozen pizza zona but there were also some by the Daiya cheeses 🥰. Grab 2 and head to check out!
All of that will total $29.49 (or $2 less if this is your first trip to NatGro!)
K – now this is VERY important. You have to make sure you submit your receipt and that all of your deals have been properly awarded BEFORE you give anything away! Sometimes the robots mess up their job and you have to re-scan an item to get your money back.
So photograph your receipt in the app and scan your items if necessary. Very, very soon you will hear a satisfying cha-ching indicating you've got moolah!
For this adventure I got $25.97 back which means that I spent a total of $3.52 for a decent little grocery score. This is mainly because I was actually at the store to buy myself a kombucha ($3.79) so if you think about it I got rewarded $.27 just for grabbing some extra items!
NOW – if you skip the kombucha and just go for the FREEbies your total at check out will be $21.91 and your rebate will be $23.97 – netting you $2.06 even without the $2 NatGro or $5 ibotta sign up bonuses!
Are you convinced? OK – let’s DO this Tucson!! FREEdge the People!!
Next Episode: Stacking stacking stacking!!
PS: I started a new ibotta account and a FREEdge FREEnd also came along for the adventure and NEITHER account had the Daiya offers – bummer! And the new account didn’t have any of the big offers (yet – like I said the robots have to learn what will entice you) BUT, NatGro gives you a FREE huge tote bag valued at $5.99 when you tell them you just signed up for {N}power for the first time! And with the egg deal going on right now it was still a pretty sweet little FREE grocery haul!
